We are on the lookout for a driven and experienced R&D Strategy planning specialist. The R&D Strategy Planning Specialist is accountable for management of several critical processes and systems within R&D. The overall goal of the role is to work with the R&D Leadership team to ensure that R&D resources are appropriately planned and utilized through a structured and disciplined resource management process, thereby securing tax benefits of several millions. The role operates with significant autonomy and requires the R&D Planning strategy Specialist to utilize an extensive breadth of R&D experience to be successful in its execution. In addition, the role ensures compliance from R&D to the requirements of the Combined Business Model.
The role is accountable for working closely with internal and external R&D tax consultants to understand R&D tax credit requirements in the key markets in which we operate, for the maximization of benefits available to JDE. This includes playing an integral part in the assessment of R&D project work for tax qualification, coaching the R&D Leadership Team and their managers to ensure that all claimable activities are identified and the resource management system is set up to successfully secure these, where necessary scoping and overseeing associated system upgrades and changes to ways of working.
The R&D Strategy Planning Specialist is accountable for leading the organization and coordination of the R&D resource and planning process, day to day management of the Resource Management system, including ownership of R&D user and project data accuracy, hours planning and tracking, and generation of resource reports and specialist data extractions for the R&D leadership team and internal and external Tax specialists for strategic resource decision making, Innovation Box, WBSO and UK R&D Tax reporting purposes.
